Flipped Lecture

As both online and flipped classroom formats grow in popularity, the number of faculty creating video lectures is increasing. However, many of these videos are recorded as long, straight lectures, limiting students only to the role of observer. Our video team will work with you to develop engaging content with high-production values that will enhance your instruction.

Tips for Flipped Lecture

  • Keep it short! Chunk your lectures into segments of 6-8 minutes wherever possible.
  • Use visuals, images, and animations to illustrate your talking points.
  • Develop guiding questions for students to consider while viewing your lecture.
  • Follow up your lectures with low stakes quizzes/self-assessments.
  • Be yourself!
