Teaching Statements

Teaching Statements, including Teaching Philosophy Statements and Academic Diversity Statements, are living documents that allow instructors to reflect on their teaching and share with others their values, beliefs, and goals. Teaching Statements may be a required component of a job application for teaching positions, whether as a stand-alone document or as part of a teaching portfolio. The CTL also offers interactive group workshops and individual consultations on writing teaching statements every semester.

Teaching Philosophy Statements

In a Teaching Philosophy Statement, you should reflect on your teaching and share with others your conceptualization of teaching and learning.
