UGA Office of Institutional Diversity
The mission of the Office of Institutional Diversity is to lead a focused institutional effort to evaluate existing programs and develop new initiatives to support diversity and equity at the University of Georgia.

Diversity in the Classroom

Founded in 1991 by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Teaching Tolerance supports the efforts of educators to promote respect for differences and appreciation of diversity. This Web site contains many classroom resources, current diversity news, interactive diversity tools, writer resources for examining bias in language, and professional development resources.

The toolkit includes diversity resources, interviews, and op-eds for discussions about identity, inequality, and education for children of color.

This is a link to an open version of the hard copy book Tools for Teaching by Barbara Gross Davis; Jossey-Bass Publishers: San Francisco, 1993.
