These opportunities include programs for all new faculty members, early-career faculty, senior faculty, retired faculty, and for faculty members interested in specialized areas such as instructional technology and teaching scholarship.

  • New Faculty Colloquium
The 2008Colloquium was held on Thursday, August 14th, 2008 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Part Time Faculty Members
  • CTLprovide various support programs and activities for a very important academic constituency, part-time faculty. Currently activities include an informational CD and web resource, as well as an annual gathering recognizing part-time faculty. Other activities are being developed for this new university initiative. For more information, contact Dr. Nelson Hilton , 542-1582.

    • Part-time Faculty Guide
The part-time faculty guide is a resource for faculty who only teach a course or two and work elsewhere as well as those who have other roles at the University of Georgia. The guide contains links to a wealth of information ranging from academic to community resources and information about the Gwinnett University Center. If you are interested in receiving a CD-ROM with this information, please contact Dr. Nelson Hilton , 542-1582.
    • Part-time Faculty Confab
This annual event provides opportunites for welcoming both new and returning part-time faculty, sharing information and issues related to part-time teaching at the University of Georgia, and getting to know other part-time faculty and resource persons at UGA. The event is co-sponsored by CTL, the Office of the Vice President for Instruction, and the UGA Teaching Academy. Contact Dr. Nelson Hilton, 542-1582 for more information.
